1 Latona Street, Mentone – A Home Full of Light and Legacy
SOLD 2025: $2,765,000
Some homes immediately leave a lasting impression.
When I first walked through 1 Latona Street, Mentone, it was clear this was a very special property. Built by the original owners in the early 2000s, the home had been lovingly maintained and beautifully cared for over many years. It was a substantial family residence, thoughtfully designed and filled with natural light in every room.
From the moment of our consultation, we could see the potential to present the home in a way that honoured its quality while helping buyers imagine the next chapter of life within its walls.
The home was immaculate and structurally sound, a testament to the pride the owners had taken in maintaining it. The existing carpet and window furnishings were in excellent condition and worked beautifully with the architecture, so these elements were retained. The original dining room suite, which suited the scale and style of the home perfectly, was also kept as part of the presentation.
Our role was to carefully furnish the remainder of the property, creating a warm and inviting environment that would appeal to modern buyers. We introduced contemporary furniture and styling throughout the home, designing five beautifully presented bedrooms and elegant living spaces that complemented the home’s generous proportions and natural light.
The result was a cohesive, welcoming interior that allowed buyers to immediately picture family life in the home.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project came after the sale.
The purchasers — a young family — were actually previous clients of ours. Not long before, we had worked with them to furnish and style their own home for sale. Seeing them fall in love with 1 Latona Street and secure the property was incredibly special, creating a lovely full-circle moment for everyone involved.
Projects like this remind us that every home has a story, and it’s a privilege to help present those homes with care, respect and thoughtful styling so that the next family can begin their own chapter.
